An honourable mention in the country the Blizzard

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard is back among the powerhouses in the country following the Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings released today.

Thanks to their exceptional streak of ten straight wins, the Blizzard (16-10-0-1) received an honourable mention, as did the Truro Bearcats (15-6-0-2). Another MHL team, the Yarmouth Mariners (16-6-1-0), are currently ranked 19th.

The last time the Blizzard received attention in the Canadian rankings was on November 22, 2021 when they were ranked 19th with their then record of 11-3-1-1.

The first position in the country is occupied by the Battlefords North Shars (SJHL, 22-0-2-1), followed by the Brooks Bandits (AJHL, 30-1-1-1) and the Terrebonne Cobras (LHJAAAQ, 23 -2-0-0).

The Canadian Junior Hockey League is a national organization comprised of nine Junior A leagues from Alberta to the Maritimes. The CJHL currently represents 118 teams and well over 2,500 players. There are also 3,000-plus CJHL alumni furthering their hockey careers at the NHL, AHL, ECHL, SPHL, NCAA, U SPORTS and CHL levels across North America as well as leagues across Europe.
