EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – Forward Blake Richardson, who played with the Edmundston Blizzard last season, will continue his hockey career next season with the York University Lions.
Richardson tallied 21 points (9g, 12a) in 27 games in 2021-22 with the Blizzard. The 20-year-old from Pincourt, Que., played 113 QMJHL games with the Blainville-Broisbriand Armada, racking up 17 goals and 33 assists for 50 points.
The Toronto-based Lions went 6-8-2 last season in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) league. Richardson will team up with former Blizzard star Brock McLeod.
Blizzard management thanks Blake for his valuable service in 2021-22 and wishes him the best of success in his studies and university career.
