Blizzard acquires forward Noah Larochelle

EDMUNDSTON, N.B. – On New Year’s Day and at the opening of January trading, the Blizzard made a move by acquiring forward Noah Larochelle from the West Kent Steamers and a fourth-round pick in the 2027 MHL draft. In return, the Blizzard gave up its first-round pick in 2026 and second-round pick in 2027, as well as future considerations.

The 19-year-old Quebec City native has racked up 22 points (9 goals and 13 assists) in 27 games with the Steamers this season.

Over the past three seasons, he has played for the Victoriaville Tigres and Cape Breton Eagles in the QMJHL, totaling 3 goals and 2 assists in 47 games.

Please note that the game scheduled for Friday, January 2, at the Jean-Daigle Centre between Chaleur and Edmundston has been postponed to a later date. The first game of 2026 will be on Saturday, January 3 (7:30 p.m.) when the Campbellton Tigers come to the Jean-Daigle Centre.
