EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard has just made a move to bolster its already strong offensive lineup. Eighteen-year-old forward Robin Poitras, whose rights were held by the Whitecourt Wolverines of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL), is heading to Edmundston in exchange for future considerations.
A native of Baie-Comeau, Québec, Poitras was the captain and one of the top scorers for the Jonquière Élites of the Quebec Midget AAA Hockey League last season. He tallied 41 points, including 17 goals, in 40 games. He was a seventh-round pick (120th overall) by the Drummondville Voltigeurs in the 2024 QMJHL draft.
