Grandmaison, like Logan Johnston, finished the evening with a goal and an assist each. Kyle Ward was the other Blizzard scorer.
Dawson Wood scored twice for the Slammers.
Edmundston edged Woodstock 27-26 in the shots column. Francis Asselin (Blizzard) and Liam MacDonald (Slammers) were the two goalies.
Blizzard led 2-1 after 20 minutes. No goals were scored in the third period.
QUICK NOTES – It was the 30th win this season for the Blizzard (30-9-3-0). With 63 points, Edmundston has an eight-point lead over the Summerside Western Capitals in the EastLink North division and two points ahead of the Yarmouth Mariners in the overall standings… Alexandre Bernier had two assists in Saturday’s win… Logan Johnston was once again selected the game’s first star… The Blizzard has won 14 games by a one-goal margin this season… The Blizzard will play its next two games at the Jean-Daigle Centre in Edmundston of February 16 (against St. Stephen, 7:30 pm) and February 18 (against Yarmouth, 3 pm).
