EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard of the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) will have a good test this weekend when it will play two games in consecutive nights on the opposing rinks.
Ryan Salvis’s squad and the Campbellton Tigers (1 win, 0 loss) will square off on Friday at the Campbellton Memorial Civic Centre. The game starts at 7:30 pm. The Tigers won their season opener 3-2 against the South Shore Lumberjacks last Friday.
Saturday, at 7 pm, the Blizzard will be in St. Stephen to face the Aces who will try to shake off their bad start of the season. They have suffered three setbacks in three outings.
The Blizzard’s goal is to continue its momentum after winning 5-4 in its very first game on September 15 in Woodstock.
Edmundston fans are anxious to see their team in action for the first time at home, on Friday, September 29, at 7:30 pm when the Blizzard hosts the Amherst Ramblers at the Palladium of Saint-Jacques.
