Blizzard in 2nd place in Canada for fourth straight week

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard continue to ride high in the race for the top spot in Canadian Junior A hockey, maintaining their second-place ranking for a fourth consecutive week in today’s Canada Junior Hockey League national rankings.

Simon Olivier’s team is ranked second with a record of 18-2-0-0, and came very close of taking first place from the Rockland Nationals (CCHL, 16-1-1-0), who suffered their first regulation-time setback during the weekend. The Grande Prairie Storm (AJHL, 15-1-1-1) are third in the country.

The Blizzard played just one game last week defeating the Miramichi Timberwolves 5-3 on Friday at the Jean-Daigle Centre.

The Summerside Western Capitals (15-3-2-0) slid from 6th to 9th in the country, while the Amherst Ramblers (11-5-0-0) reappeared on the honourable mentions list.

The Blizzard play their next game on Friday, November 15 (7:30 p.m.) when they host the Grand Falls Rapids (4-8-0-4).
