EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – For the third week in a row, the Edmundston Blizzard have moved into second place among the top Junior A teams in Canada, according to a press release issued today by the Canadian Junior Hockey League.
The Blizzard has a record of 17 wins and 2 losses. The Edmundston won 6-2 against the Fredericton Red Wings on Friday, and lost 7-3 to the Summerside Western Capitals on Saturday. Both games were played at the Jean-Daigle Centre.
The Western Capitals (13-2-2-0) dropped from 5th to 6th place. The Rockland Nationals (CCHL) are still top of the Canadian standings with a 15-0-0-1 record. In third place is the Grande Prairie Storm (AJHL, 13-1-1-1).
The Blizzard play their next game on Friday, November 8 (7:30 p.m.) when they host the Miramichi Timberwolves (6-8-0-2).
