Blizzard maintains 2nd place in Canada

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – For the fifth week in a row, the Edmundston Blizzard occupy second place in the national Junior A team rankings with a record of 19-2-1-0. The Canadian Junior Hockey League released its weekly rankings today.

The Rockland Nationals (CCHL, 18-1-1-0) continue to dominate the Canadian standings. In third place is a new team, the Leamington Flyers (OJHL, 22-2-2-1).

After defeating the Grand Falls Rapids 6-2 on Friday, the Blizzard lost 4-3 in overtime to the West Kent Steamers on Sunday.

The Summerside Western Capitals (16-3-2-0) are currently ranked 8th in Canada. The Steamers (12-6-1-0) received an honorable mention.

The Blizzard play their next game on Wednesday, November 20 (7:15 p.m.) when they visit the Grand Falls Rapids (4-10-0-4).
