Blizzard: Marc Gallie comes in reinforcement

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – Marc Gallie, a 20-year-old right-handed defenseman from Shediac, is joining the Edmundston Blizzard before the kick off of the MHL EastLink North finals on Saturday against the Summerside Western Capitals.

Gallie is a Blizzard affiliate player who played in 6 games with the Université de Moncton Aigles Bleus this season. He also played for the Hotel Shediac Predaotrs this winter, scoring 2 goals and 11 assists in 18 games.

The 5’10’’ and 175-pound rearguard will be in familiar ground since he played with the Dieppe Commandos in 2015-16 and in 2016-17. Last season, he was a regular defenseman, playing in 49 games and scoring a goal and adding 11 assists.

From the time he played with the High School Louis-J.-Robichaud Patriots in 2014-2015, Gallie was the captain of the team he led to the regular season championship. The Patriots were 21-2-1-0. At the end of that season, Gallie was voted player of the year of the New Brunswick Eastern Conference High School.
