Blizzard still 4th in the country; Western Capitals 2nd

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – For the third week in a row, the Edmundston Blizzard are ranked fourth among the 118 Junior A teams in Canada.

The Canadian Junior Hockey League released today its weekly rankings, in which the Summerside Western Capitals now find themselves in second place.

Over the past week, the Blizzard won two of their three games. After a 4-0 win over Valley in Edmundston on Thursday, the Blizzard suffered its first setback of the campaign, a 4-1 loss in Campbellton on Friday. On Sunday, Edmundston enjoyed a 6-2 triumph in Miramichi.

The Blizzard has a record of 10-1-0-0. Summerside’s is 8-0-1-0.

The Rockland Nationals (CCHL, 9-0-0-0) are still first in the country, followed by the Western Capitals and the Selkirk Steelers (MJHL, 10-1-0-0).

The Blizzard play their next game on Thursday, October 17 (7:30 p.m.) when they host the Fredericton Red Wings (2-6-0-0).
