Canadian rankings: Blizzard retains 4th place

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard held on to 4th place in the weekly Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) rankings following last week’s games played by the 117 teams in the country.

The Blizzard (36-6-1-1; .841) are on an eight-game winning streak. The Edmundston team won all three of their games last week: 3-0 over Grand Falls, 10-3 against West Kent and 6-4 in Campbellton.

The Trenton Golden Hawks (OJHL, 38-5-2-0; .867) remain in first place in the Canadian standings, followed by the Greater Sudbury Cubs (NOJHL, 2nd place, 35-4-1-1; .878) and the Rockland Nationals (CCHL, 3rd place, 36-5-1-1; .842).

The Summerside Western Capitals (31-7-2-2; .786) are in 12th place.

The Blizzard will play just one game this week. Edmundston will be in the provincial capital on Friday, February 7 (7:30 p.m.) to take on the Fredericton Red Wings (10-27-1-2).
