EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – Defenseman Cohen McCallum, 18, is back in the Edmundston Blizzard uniform. He was obtained from the Hawkesbury Hawks of the Central Canadian Hockey League (CCHL) in return for future considerations.
McCallum, from Rothesay, New Brunswick, was originally drafted by the Blizzard in the 2021 midget draft. He was selected in the 6th round (63rd overall). In 2021-2022 and 2022-2023, he played two full seasons with Rothesay Netherwood School. Last season, he collected 6 goals and 25 assists in 44 games.
He played in two Blizzard games during the 2021-2022 campaign. This season, he played 12 games for the Ontario Junior A hockey team in Hawkesbury, recording one assist.
