Despite a nice comeback, the Blizzard falls short in Miramichi

MIRAMICHI, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard battled hard to the very end but fell short 4-3 against the Miramichi Timberwolves on Saturday Night on the east coast of New Brunswick.

Having trailed 4-0 and gradually climbing back up is nonetheless good news for the Blizzard who saw their record going to 10-6-0-2. The Edmundston squad, however, will have to avoid the penalty box that allowed the opponent to score twice and at bad times during the game.

Jérémy Duguay (4th), Félix Rioux (1st) and Isaac Chapman (15th) scored back-to-back goals for the Blizzard. Timberwolves’ goal came from Spencer Blackwell (twice), Oliver Tarr and Emmett Gordon.

Miramichi had a slim 33-32 shots on goal advantage. Oliver Troop (Blizzard) and Daniel Moody (Timberwolves) were the goaltenders.

The Blizzard will end its three-game weekend by taking on the Campbellton Tigers on Sunday at the Jean-Daigle Centre (3 p.m.).
