Edmundston Blizzard announces departure of head coach

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard organization announces today the departure of its head coach, Emery Olauson. The two parties came to a mutual agreement.

In June 2019, Olauson became Edmundston’s second head coach. In three seasons at the helm of the Blizzard, he led his team to a combined 65-27-2-14 record and .676 winning percentage. Due to COVID-19, the Blizzard only made one playoff run under his leadership. The team lost in 5 games against the Summerside Western Capitals last spring.

Blizzard organization would like to thank Emery Olauson for his work over the past three seasons. The team’s management will reveal the name of its next head coach in the coming days.
