Edmundston Blizzard trades Patrick Pellerin for Malcolm Arseneau

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard made a trade with the St. Stephen Aces on Saturday.

Edmundston traded Patrick Pellerin, a conditional 3rdround pick in the 2019 draft and a conditional 4thround pick in the 2020 draft to St Stephen for  the rights to Malcolm Arseneau and a 4thround pick in the 2020 draft.

A Fredericton native, Arseneau is a 20-year-old player. He played for two seasons (2014-15 and 2015-16) for Northwood School Junior, a high school team located in Lake Placid, NY.

In 2016-17, Arseneau played for the Nepean Raiders, collecting 11 goals and 23 assists in 57 games. Last season, the 5’9’’ and 183 lbs forward played for Nepean and the Pembroke Lumber Kings. His offensive production improved. In 61 games, he tallied 46 points (14 goals and 32 assists).

Pellerin, 19, played in 40 games with the Blizzard last season, collecting 8 assists and 124 penalty minutes. He was an energetic player appreciated by his teammates.
