The Blizzard’s last defeat at home came on November 17, 2023 (a 5-3 loss to West Kent).

Three players from the Western Capitals (13-2-2-0) collected a goal and two assists each: Robbie Rutledge (2nd star), Dominik Godin and Dennis Lominac. Travis Badcock, Brennan Murphy, Justin Hughes, and Brett Arsenault also beat goalkeepers Simon Boucher and Clay Ryan.

For the Blizzard, Will Allen and Carl-Anthony Massé picked up a goal and an assist apiece. Nathan Plamondon also scored for the Blizzard, who dominated 47-29 in the shots column. Capitals goaltender Niko Boudreau was up to the task and earned first star honours. Allen was named third star of the game, played in front of the best crowd of the season at the Jean-Daigle Centre (2,600 spectators).

Summerside thus ended the Blizzard’s winning streak at eight games. Edmundston will play their next home game next Friday (7:30 p.m.) against the Miramichi Timberwolves.
