Fourth honorable mention in a row for the Blizzard

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard received an honorable mention in the country for the fourth week in a row. The Canadian Junior Hockey League today announced its rankings of the nation’s top teams.

Last week, the Blizzard picked up two wins: 3-2 in overtime on Friday against Miramichi and 7-2 on Sunday against Fredericton.

The Blizzard (25-9-1-0 = 51pts) are third overall in the Maritime Junior Hockey League. In the Eastlink North division, they are trailing the West Kent Steamers (25-9-2-0 = 52pts) by a meager point, and they could take the lead with a Blizzard victory over the Campbelton Tigers on Wednesday.

First overall in the MHL, the Summerside Western Capitals (24-3-3-3 = 54pts) have dropped four places on the Canadian scene and are now in ninth place. The Steamers remain in 19th place.

No change on the Canadian scene, where we still find the Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL, 29-2-2-0), followed by the Brooks Bandits (AJHL, 37-4-0-0) and the Collingwood Blues (OJHL, 34-5-0-1).
