Honorable mention in Canada for Olivier Coulombe

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – Oliver Coulombe is once again attracting attention. This time, it is on the national scene. His 21 points (12 goals and 9 assists) earned him an honorable mention from the Canadian Junior Hockey League, which just announced its three stars for the month of January.

The most ironic thing is that Coulombe scored his 21 points in 9 games while the first star of the month, Ty Daneault, of the Drumheller Dragons (AJHL) totaled the same number of points (10g, 11a) in… 12 games.

The second star was awarded to Jack Richard, of the Burlington Cougars (OJHL), author of 12 goals and 8 assists in 9 games. The third star went to defenseman Nolan Gagnon of the Cornwall Colts (CCHL), who had 4 goals and 8 assists in 9 games.
