EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – September’s first star of the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) is forward and captain Kyle Ward of the Edmundston Blizzard.

In September, the 19 year old left handed forward had 8 goals and 4 assists for 12 points in 5 games, good for the league lead in points and tied for the league lead in goals with 8.

The Sackville native had a huge game versus St. Stephen Aces on September 23rd in which he notched 3 goals and added 2 assists for 5 points.

Ward is a former Saint John Seadog of the QMJHL and helped them win the playoffs title (President Cup) last season.

Ward’s offence is a big reason the Blizzard are off to a 5-0 start to the season. On October 5th, he stretched his consecutive game with at least a goal to six.
