Leonard Named MHL Pro Design Cresting Rookie of the Month for December

The Pro Design Cresting Rookie of the Month for December is forward Liam Leonard of the Edmundston Blizzard.

LIAM LEONARD – EDMUNDSTON BLIZZARD

In six games, the 17 year old from Clarenville, Newfoundland scored twice and added four assists, all of which came during a four game point streak during the middle of the month. On December 10^th and 15^th, against Pictou County and Summerside respectively, Leonard posted a pair of points. Leonard, who was also named Rookie of the Month for October, leads all freshmen players with 13 goals and 28 points in 29 games for a Blizzard club that sits in top spot in the overall standing. Edmundston’s first round selection in the 2017 MHL Entry Draft, Leonard is a graduate of the Tri-Pen Osprey program in the Newfoundland Midget AAA ranks.
