EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard completed an emotional day at the 2022 Maritime Junior A Hockey League (MLH) Draft. Considering the two territorial picks, the Blizzard drafted five forwards and five defensemen.
After having spoken first for the first time in its young history, by choosing Marco Martin as the MHL first overall pick (see other text), the team selected in the 1st round Alexandre Pelletier (8th overall), originally from Edmundston, a forward who played with the Vitos de Saint-Jean, of the NBIPE midget AAA hockey league.
Alexandre Pelletier compiled a record of 3 goals and 12 assists in 29 games with Saint-Jean in his first midget year. He is only 16 years old.
In the fourth round, the Blizzard made Colby Train, of St. John, the 41st overall pick in the draft.

The Blizzard’s home opener will be on Friday, September 16 when they host the Campbellton Tigers.
