MHL to hold Metalfab First Responders Week

Truro, N.S. (February 14, 2022) – The Maritime Junior Hockey League will be holding a special week of games, sponsored by Metalfab Ltd., honouring first responders throughout the region. The league’s twelve teams will each host one of these games between February 23rd and March 5th. As with previous initiatives, each team will wear specially designed jerseys which will be auctioned off.

“At the centre of every Canadian community is hockey and first responders”, says Metalfab Business Development Manager Ryan Stacey. “Metalfab is extremely proud to be working with all first responders. The work they do keeping their communities safe, calm, and protected during times of need is extremely selfless and courageous. First responders are the backbone of our communities and we are honoured to partner with them. Together with the MHL, we can pay tribute to all first responders and give back to their communities.”

Located in Centreville, N.B., Metalfab Ltd. has serviced many fire departments and municipalities throughout Canada for over 50 years. That includes many fire departments in and around the league’s twelve communities.

“Metalfab has been an amazing partner and we are excited to bring this week of games to our 12 MHL communities with their support,” says MHL President Steve Dykeman. “I can’t think of a better time to pay tribute and to say thank you to our first responders for everything that they do. Our communities cannot function without them and we are grateful for their sacrifices.”
