Michael Arsenault comes to Edmundston in exchange for Noah Breau and Adam Byrne

EDMUNDSTON, N.B. – The Edmundston Blizzard made an important transaction on the final day of trading in the MHL. They sent forward Noah Breau to the Yarmouth Mariners in exchange for forwards Michael Arsenault and Adam Byrne.

Arsenault played 17 games with the Valley Wildcats this season, racking up 9 goals and 13 assists. With 22 points, he was Valley’s leading scorer per game. Arsenault was traded to the Mariners on November 14 in a mega deal but had not played any games with Yarmouth.

Arsenault, 19, is from Cornwall, Prince Edward Island. Last season, he played 10 games for the Rimouski Océanic in the QMJHL. In the MHL, he also played for the Summerside Western Capitals and the West Kent Steamers. Overall, the 6’2″, 195-pound forward has accumulated 17 goals and 23 assists in 55 games in the MHL since the 2023-2024 season.

A native of Aldouane, 19-year-old Noah Breau has tallied 9 goals and 22 assists in 34 games this season with the Blizzard, good for third in team scoring. In 67 career games with the Bleu et Blanc, he has scored 14 goals and 28 assists for 42 points. He made his MHL debut in 2022-2023, playing two games with the Grand Falls Rapids.

Adam Byrne is from Gander, Newfoundland. This season with the Central Impact of the Newfoundland and Labrador Midget AAA Hockey League, he has recorded 64 points (27g, 37a) in 21 games.
