EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – With a perfect eight-game winning streak, the Edmundston Blizzard remained in fourth place in the weekly Canadian Junior Hockey League rankings released today.
Ahead of the Blizzard in third place are the Summerside Western Capitals (7-0-0-0). The Capitals (47 GF and 17 GA) have a +27 differential compared to the Blizzard’s +21 performance (36 GF and 15 GA).
With their three wins in Nova Scotia over the weekend, the Blizzard broke their record for most wins to start a season (8).
The Amherst Ramblers (5-1-0-0) dropped three places to 11th in the national rankings.
The Rockland Nationals (CCHL, 8-0-0-0) are first in the country, followed by the Selkirk Steelers (MJHL, 8-0-0-0).
The Blizzard play their next game on Thursday, October 10 (7:30 p.m.) when they host the Valley Wildcats (4-4-0-0).
