National rankings: Blizzard still 20th; Timberwolves 8th

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard maintained their 20th place in the Canadian Junior Hockey League’s weekly rankings.

The Miramichi Timberwolves, with a record of six wins and one loss, jumped seven places to 8th.

The Blizzard remain in first place overall in the Maritime Hockey League, with a record of 7-3-0-0. Last weekend, Simon Olivier’s men won 6-0 against the Campbellton Tigres in Edmundston on Saturday, before falling 3-2 to the West Kent Steamers in Grand-Bouctouche the following day.

Across the country, the same three teams as last week find themselves at the head of the pack, except that the positions have changed. Third seven days ago, the Winkler Flyers (MJHL, 7-0-0-0) find themselves in first place. The Smith Falls Bears (CCHL, 11-1-0-0) have moved from first to second. The Humboldt Broncos (SJHL, 6-0-1-0) also dropped one place, from second to third.
