EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard will hold its first hockey school for boys and girls aged 6 to 14, from August 27 to September 1 at the Jean-Daigle Centre in Edmundston.
Registration will take place on Monday, June 11, from 6 pm to 9 pm, at the Edmundston Sports Pavilion. Starting June 12, registration will take place at the Pavilion until no space remains available. The registration fee per participant is $350 + tax. A $25 discount will be given for each additional child participating from the same family.
During the full week that the hockey school will last (Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 4:45 pm), the youth will be divided into three groups of 30 players and 4 goalkeepers. Every day, they will have the chance to be on the rink for 2 hours 30 minutes with Blizzard’s coaches and players. All activities will be adapted to the age groups of the children. In addition, there will be a friendly game for each group on Saturday morning.
The package also includes: off-ice training sessions and gym activities; information sessions on related topics (nutrition, sports psychology, etc.); a hockey school jersey and socks plus a t-shirt given to each participant; meeting with special guests throughout the week.
