Truro, N.S. (June 8, 2020) – The Edmundston Blizzard made Jérémie Thibodeau and Noah Gibbs, two 16-yard-old players, their two territorial picks in the Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) entry draft.

Thibodeau is a 6’0’’ and 168 lbs defenseman from Saint-Léonard. He had a goal and 19 assists in 36 games last season. He had the opportunity to play three games with the Blizzard during the 2019-2020 season and he made a good impression.
As for Gibbs, of Saint-Basile, he measures 5’6’’ and weighs 146 lbs according to Elite Prospects web site. Despite a season cut short by injury, he nonetheless took part in 17 games, tallying 6 goals and 8 assists. He did well in the playoffs with 3 goals and 3 assists in 6 games.
At last weekend’s QMJHL draft, Thibodeau was selected in the 4th round (74th overall) by the Chicoutimi Saguenéens. Gibbs was an 8th round pick (135th overall) of the Quebec Remparts.
