The Blizzard adds weight to its offense with the acquisition of Maddox Thisdelle

EDMUNDSTON, N.B. – The Edmundston Blizzard has completed a trade with the Gatineau Flames of the Quebec Junior AAA Hockey League.

The Blizzard is trading forward Louis-Jacob Beauregard and future considerations in exchange for forward Maddox Thisdelle.

Thisdelle is a big forward, standing 6’5″ tall and weighing in at 225 pounds. He will turn 18 on December 5. Thisdelle played the entire last season with the Blainville-Boisbriand Armada of the QMJHL, where he totaled 3 goals and 3 assists in 45 games. He collected only 6 penalty minutes. This season, with the Gatineau Flames, his hometown team, he has scored 8 goals and 6 assists in 13 games.

Beauregard, 19, is from Québec City and has scored one goal in 15 games with the Blizzard.

“Maddox is a physically imposing player who will add depth to our offense,” said General Manager Steve MacPherson.

The Blizzard management welcomes Maddox Thisdelle and thanks Louis-Jacob Beauregard for his service to the team.
