EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard completed a transaction today, sending 20-year-old forward Will Allen and a conditional 4th-round pick in the 2026 draft to the Pictou County Weeks Crushers in return for the rights to 18-year-old forward Félix Ouellet and a conditional first-round pick in the 2026 draft.
A native of Trois-Rivières, Ouellet has played the past two seasons in the QMJHL. In 2023-2024, he took part in 44 games with the Gatineau Olympiques, collecting 3 goals and 3 assists. Last season, he played for the Sherbrooke Phoenix, where he collected 5 goals and 5 assists in 34 games. In the playoffs, he scored 3 goals and 2 assists in 9 games.
As for Allen, he proved to be an important piece for the Blizzard in their recent conquest of the MHL season championship and playoffs. The Moncton forward arrived on October 19, 2024, following a trade that sent Ryan Loveless to Yarmouth. In 40 games with the Blizzard, Allen scored 16 goals and 21 assists for 37 points. In the playoffs, he scored 5 goals in 13 games.
Blizzard management thanks Allen for his valuable services and welcomes Félix Ouellet.
