The Blizzard plays 6 games in 10 days to start January

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The holiday break is over. The Edmundston Blizzard’ players will now have to roll up their sleeves. Starting Friday, January 5, the team will play six games in 10 days.

Ryan Salvis’ squad has 21 games left to play in its regular season that ends on March 11th. Twelve of these games are on opponent rinks. And the job starts stiffly with three weekend clashes in Nova Scotian ground. The Blizzard will face Truro Friday (7 pm), Pictou County Saturday (7 pm), and Valley Sunday (2 pm).

Edmundston will then play three consecutive home games at Jean-Daigle Centre on Wednesday, January 10 (7:30 pm) against Campbellton, on Friday, January 12 (7:30 pm) against Miramichi, and on Sunday, January 14 (3 pm) against South Shore.

The Blizzard is still on top of the EastLink North Division and the Maritime Hockey League (MHL) overall standings with a record of 22 wins, 4 losses and 3 overtime defeats for 47 points. In its division, the Blizzard leads Summerside (16-12-1-0) by 14 points. In the overall standings, Edmundston has a four-point lead over Yarmouth (21-7-1-0).
