Tigers shutout Blizzard 4-0

CAMPBELLTON, New Brunswick – The Campbellton Tigers picked up where they left off the night before by shutting out the Edmundston Blizzard 4-0 Sunday night at the Memorial Civic Centre in Campbellton.

Joakim Bergeron, Coleton Perry, Daryk Dubé-Plouffe (2nd star) and Zach Spencer scored back-to-back goals for the locals (8-9-0-1) who recorded their fifth straight win. The Tigers beat the Blizzard 6-3 on Saturday in Edmundston.

Goaltender Isaak Pelletier blocked all 29 shots to record his 4th career shutout. He earned the game’s first star. Oliver Troop of the Blizzard faced 32 shots and was named the game’s third star.

Isaac Chapman’s game streak with at least one point ended at 13.

The Blizzard (10-4-0-2) returns home after a long three-game weekend. It will be the same for the next two weekends, much like the other teams in the Eastlink North division who have time to catch up. Edmundston will return to the ice on Friday against the same Tigers for a third consecutive game.
