What will be the name of the Blizzard mascot?

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard invites the public to submit names for the team’s mascot for the 2018-19 season.

People can submit their suggestions by July 9 by completing the short form posted on the Blizzard Facebook page under the left tab “Poll” (www.facebook.com/BlizzardEdmundston). People can only fill out the form once a day.

A committee will receive all suggestions and then make a recommendation to the Blizzard’s organization. We are looking for an original name that will appeal to all fans of Blizzard, young and old. The winner will win a regular season game family night for two adults and two children in the Blizzard community suite. If more than one person submits the selected name, a draw will take place.

Once the name has been selected, the team’s organization will move on to the costume making. The mascot’s main task is to entertain spectators during the Blizzard’s games at the Jean-Daigle Centre. In addition, the mascot will attend various activities and events in the North West region.

The Blizzard is the defending champion (season and playoffs) of the Maritime Junior A Hockey League.
