EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – Antoine Lyonnais, one of Edmundston’s Blizzard goaltenders, was recalled by the Baie-Comeau Drakkar of the Québec Junior Major Hockey League.
A native of Trois-Rivières, Lyonnais, 18, will be in uniform tonight for the game against the Rimouski Océanic. Lyonnais replaces one of Drakkar’s goalies, on the sidelines due to an injury. We do not know yet the duration of the recall.
The excellent work of Lyonnais at the start of the season in Edmundston largely explains his recall to the Drakkar who acquired him on August 26th in a deal with the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.
In five games with the Blizzard, Lyonnais has won every game, posting an excellent 2.20 goals-against average. His achievements earned him the Maritime Junior A Hockey League Pro Design Cresting rookie of September honor.
