Blizzard adds weight up front

EDMUNDSTON, Nouveau-Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard made a trade on Wednesday acquiring giant forward Félix Laniel of the Terrebonne Cobras of the Quebec AAA Junior Hockey League in return of future considerations.

Laniel is an 18-year-old 6’5’’ and 220-pound player. He will become Blizzard’s tallest player of the team’s young history.

Last season, with Terrebone, he had 20 goals and 17 assists in 45 games plus 42 penalty minutes. This year, he collected 3 goals and 16 penalty minutes in 10 games. Last season, he took part in 2 games with the Drummondville Voltigeurs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.
