Canadian rankings: Blizzard maintain 15th place

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard are once again ranked 15th in the national standings after last week’s games. The Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL) released its weekly rankings today.

The Blizzard (32-11-1-0 = 65pts) suffered a 4-2 setback on Friday in Grand Falls before bouncing back on Sunday with a 4-3 shootout win over the Truro Bearcats.

The Summerside Western Capitals (31-5-3-6 = 71pts) are ranked 9th in the country, while the West Kent Steamers (30-13-2-0 = 62pts) are 17th. Summerside beat West-Kent 3-1 on Monday, February 19.

In the Eastlink North division, the Blizzard (44 games) have a three-point lead over the Steamers (45 games). Maritime Junior A Hockey League teams each play a total of 52 games in the regular season.

The national standings remain unchanged. The Flin Flon Bombers (SJHL, 40-4-2-0) remain in first place, followed by the Collingwood Blues (OJHL, 44-6-0-1) and the Steinbach Pistons (MJHL, 38-7-3-0).
