MHL announces 2023 Territorial Draft Selections – Blizzard picks Alex Thibault and Olivier St-Onge

Truro, N.S. (June 12, 2023) – The Edmundston Blizzard have made forward Alex Thibault and goaltender Olivier St-Onge, both from Edmundston, their territorial picks in the 2023 Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) Territorial Draft selections.

Six teams made the maximum of two selections this year. Five teams made one selection and will receive a compensation pick following the third round of the Entry Draft. The Amherst Ramblers, who did not make a territorial selection, will receive compensation picks following rounds two and three of the Entry Draft.

The 2023 MHL Entry Draft will take place Thursday, June 15th beginning at 7 p.m. with live coverage of the first two rounds in Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland on Eastlink Community TV, channels 10 and 610. The broadcast will also be available on Eastlink’s YouTube channel. Full draft results will be available at themhl.ca and on social media.
