Truro, N.S. (April 14, 2020) – The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) and its twelve teams are preparing for the 2020 Entry Draft and Annual General Meetings (AGM), tentatively scheduled for June 11th to 13th. Following a meeting of the Board of Governors via video conference, and discussion with other stakeholders, the decision has been made to hold the draft online.
The events were initially to be held in Truro, N.S., but given the situation with the COVID-19 pandemic it was determined this was the best course of action to ensure the health and safety of everyone involved.
Fans will still be able to follow the 2020 MHL Entry Draft live at themhl.ca and @THEMHL on Twitter. Further details will be released when they become available.
The order of selection in each round of the draft is as follows, based on the final regular season standings:

Teams with the same point total had their draft position determined by the regular season tie-breaker(s). Selections in each round are subject to all transactions involving 2020 draft picks.
The Board of Governors will also be meeting for the AGM through video conferencing as the league prepares to return to the ice once this unprecedented situation comes to an end.
