Austin Paul joins the Blizzard

EDMUNDSTON, N.B. – The Edmundston Blizzard has strengthened its offensive brigade by acquiring a talented scorer. Right winger Austin Paul, 20, of Saint-Lazare, Que., comes to Edmundston from the Oakville Blades of the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL). The Blades get future considerations in return.

The Blades and Austin Paul did not play a game last season due to the pandemic. During his 18-year season, in 2019-2020, Paul played in 62 games with two teams from the Central Canada Hockey League, tallying 21 goals and 25 assists in 62 games (15 goals and 19 assists in 39 games with the Kanata Lasers plus 6 goals and 6 assists in 23 games with the Brockville Braves).

Austin Paul is 5’11 “and weighs 181 lbs. He played his minor hockey in the province of Quebec before joining the junior ranks of Ontario.
