EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) has announced the dates for the first round of the best-of-seven Metalfab MHL Cup playoffs between the Edmundston Blizzard and the Fredericton Red Wings.
First in the Eastlink North division with a record of 36-12-1-0, the Blizzard will face the 4th-place Red Wings, who has a record of 21-23-2-3. Edmundston and Fredericton still have three games each before the end of the regular calendar, including two against each other.
Games in the Blizzard-Red Wings series will be played in rotation on both teams’ rinks. The first game will be played at the Jean-Daigle Centre on Thursday, March 14, and the series will move to Fredericton’s Grant-Harvey Centre on Saturday, March 16. Games in Edmundston will start at 7:30 p.m., and those in Fredericton at 7 p.m.
Individual tickets for the first two games in Edmundston will go on sale online on Monday, March 11, starting at 9 a.m.
