Dieppe Commandos practice in Saint-Basile

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The public is invited to attend a special practice of the Dieppe Commandos on Thursday, March 2nd, from 5 pm to 6 pm at the Saint-Basile Arena. The Edmundston Blizzard season tickets will be launched at the same location and time, from 4 pm to 7 pm. The Blizzard will enter the Maritime Hockey League (MHL) at the end of this season, following the transfer of the Dieppe Commandos to Edmundston.

The Commandos (25 W, 15 L, 6 OL – 56 pts) are second in the EastLink North division of the Maritime Hockey League (MHL).

Hockey fans are also invited to get to know the players after their practice by going to the La Cheminée student pub, located at the Université de Moncton, campus d’Edmundston (UMCE). This get together with local players, such as Alex Lavoie, Jeffrey Akerley, Nicholas Jessome, Tristan Mercure, star Joey Richard and captain Ryan Chiasson and others, will be held starting at 8:30 pm. The NHL game between Nashville and Montreal will be shown on the pub’s big screen. Minors can participate if accompanied by a parent.

On Friday, March 3rd, Commandos players will be given a guided tour of their future adoption city and will visit both post-secondary institutions. In the evening, the team will be in Woodstock for a clash against the Slammers.
