Truro, N.S. (December 15, 2021) – The Maritime Junior Hockey League (MHL) is postponing a number of games in its 2021-22 regular season schedule due to Public Health rules which will go into effect in both Nova Scotia and New Brunswick on Friday. Fourteen games will be affected in total, including the game between the Truro Bearcats and Yarmouth Mariners at Mariners Centre on Friday, December 17th, and all games in Nova Scotia and New Brunswick from December 18th through January 2nd.

The game in Summerside on Saturday, December 18th between the Western Capitals and the Grand Falls Rapids is moving ahead as scheduled at this time. A decision regarding the game on December 30th between Summerside and the Campbellton Tigers is pending.

The MHL will continue discussions with Public Health officials in all three Maritime provinces in the days and weeks ahead. A decision on games scheduled after January 2nd will be made when required, keeping in mind what public health restrictions are in place at that time. An announcement will be made when the postponed games are rescheduled.
