EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – Edmundston Blizzard head scout Michel Gauvin was thrilled yesterday (Sunday) when the Quebec Remparts won the Memorial Cup. Gauvin plays an important role in the Remparts’ organization being part of the scouting team.
General manager and head coach Patrick Roy’s team defeated the Seattle Thunderbirds, 5-0, on Sunday evening in Kamloops, British Columbia, to be crowned Canadian major junior hockey champions.
The honours continue to pile up for the Blizzard hockey staff. Last year, General Manager Steve MacPherson won the Telus Cup Canadian Midget Championship as assistant coach of the Moncton Flyers.
Blizzard management congratulates you on these achievements! Steve MacPherson and Michel Gauvin will be at work for the Blizzard at the Maritime Junior Hockey League draft on June 15.
