The Chevaliers de Colomb, Conseil 1932, d’Edmundston donated $40,000 to the Blizzard hockey team. EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard of the Maritime Junior Hockey League is proud to announce a major sponsorship of $40,000 from the Chevaliers de Colomb, conseil 1932, d’Edmundston.

The announcement was made during a press conference at the Palladium of Saint-Jacques on Wednesday, September 13. A barbecue was organized for the occasion and gathered season tickets holders, the hockey players, billet families and volunteer board members of the Blizzard.

The sponsorship will be used to support the billet families’ program. In return, a section of the stands of the new Center Jean-Daigle in Edmundston will be reserved for the Chevaliers de Colomb. During local games, the seats in this section will be occupied by groups supported by the Chevaliers de Colomb, ie, schoolchildren, minor hockey players and other groups.

The event was also used to distribute the game passes to the season ticket holders and to introduce players who will hit the ice for the first time this season on Friday, September 15, at 7:30 pm in Woodstock. The first local game of the Blizzard will be played on Friday, September 29, at the Palladium of Saint-Jacques.
