Blizzard trades Alex Savoie to the Amherst Ramblers

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – The Edmundston Blizzard have completed a trade with the Amherst Ramblers, sending to the Nova Scotia team forward Alex Savoie in return for a 2nd round pick in 2023 and a 5th round pick in 2024 in the upcoming Maritime Junior A Hockey League drafts.

A 20-year-old player, Savoie is thus getting closer to his hometown (Dieppe) and he will be able to continue his university studies at the Moncton campus.

Former star of the Mathieu-Martin High School Matadors, he has donned the Blizzard uniform for the past two seasons. He had his best campaign in 2021-2022, collecting 8 goals and 9 assists in 37 games. He made his mark as a fast and energic skater.

The Blizzard organization would like to thank Alex for his invaluable services and wishes him good luck in the pursuit of his hockey career and in his studies.
