CAMPBELLTON, New Brunswick – After nine wins to kick off the 2024-2025 campaign, the Edmundston Blizzard suffered their first setback, losing 4-1 to the Campbellton Tigers on Friday night in the Restigouche city.
After dominating 30-6 in shots in the first two periods, the Blizzard saw the hosts bounce back in the third with three unanswered goals.
Owen Underhill (6th), Sam Hope (4th and 5th) and Tyler Pazin (6th) scored against goalkeeper Simon Boucher, who faced 18 shots. Only Jérémy Fortin (3rd) managed to beat goaltender Adam Rouleau, who stood up all evening to the Blizzard’s 39 shots.
Rouleau (1st), Hope (2nd) and Fortin (3rd) earned the game’s stars.
The Blizzard’s record now stands at 9-1-0-0, while the Tigers’ is 3-4-1-0.
Edmundston’s next game is at Miramichi on Sunday (2:30 p.m.).
