MIRAMICHI, New Brunswick – Alex Thibault (1st and 2nd) and Émile Fournier (6th and 7th) combined for two goals apiece to give the Edmundston Blizzard a 6-2 win over the Miramichi Timberwolves on Sunday afternoon at the Miramichi Civic Centre.
Captain Philippe Collette was also on the attack, adding four assists to his record. Justin Hébert (3rd and 1a), Jérémy Fortin (4th), Zachary Lessard (2a) and Carl-Anthony Massé (2a) contributed to the Blizzard’s 10th victory.
Easton Schlender (3rd) and Justin David (6th) scored for the Timberwolves.
The game turned sour at the end of the third period with several scuffles.
The three stars of the game went to Blizzard players Collette (1st), Thibault (2nd) and Fournier (3rd).
The Blizzard (10-1-0-0) return home to prepare for their next game on Thursday, October 17 at home against the Fredericton Red Wings.
