Andrew Bruder commits to Western University

EDMUNDSTON, New Brunswick – Andrew Bruder, who played his last junior games with the Edmundston Blizzard in the Maritime Hockey League, will continue his university career with Western University, in London, Ontario, an establishment located 35 minutes from the 20 year-old hockey player’s hometown of Woodstock, Ontario.

Bruder has appeared in the last seven games of the Blizzard season, recording four goals and two assists. He scored three goals on March 13 at the Jean-Daigle Centre in a 6-3 loss to the Campbellton Tigers.

The forward was acquired by the Blizzard on January 29, 2021 from the Trenton Golden Hawks, an Ontario Junior Hockey League (OHL) team that ultimately did not play a game this season due to COVID-19. In his career in the OHL with the Niagara IceDogs, he tallied 16 goals and 31 assists in 151 games.

The Blizzard congratulates Andrew Bruder on his successful junior career and wishes him the best of success in the college ranks.
